50 Million Barrels

What does that really mean?

There’s a RBDBE …*

Last week Joe Biden announced that he was going to release 50 million barrels of oil from America’s SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) to help rein in gas and heating oil prices for Thanksgiving.

Joe, is that your I’ve got gas face, or I just made another boom-boom face?

YAY! —Joe’s actually doing something.

Okay, all joking aside. I went to work the next morning thinking that something didn’t make sense about the SPR release, but … Fortunately, I had ten hours of blissful bus driving to contemplate the ramifications of Joe’s wondrous deed.

One of the first things to cross my layperson’s mind was a question. With the price of oil skyrocketing, why would a president put our collective security at risk by squandering the SPR? We need that oil for real emergencies, not those manufactured by Biden’s ineptitude.

Then, it occurred to me that the reason he did it was simple. It’s easy. It’s also meaningless. While 50 million barrels sounds like a lot of oil to you and me, those in-the-know, know that America burns through 50 million barrels every two days, give or take 12 hours depending on things like holidays and weather conditions. When I say those in-the-know, that should include the Biden administration but obviously doesn’t.

So 50 million barrels is meaningless, and the proof is there for all to see. What’s the price of gas today? Hmmm? Biden doesn’t care whether you pay $4 or $5 a gallon at the pump. The important thing for him is being able to say that he did something. Besides, when no one is looking, the Biden administration will just buy back that 50 million barrels and Bob’s-Your-Uncle.

I promised an RBDBE, and here it is. It’s something that I haven’t heard anyone report on, so I’ll do my best to throw it out there myself.

Today, under Biden’s dysfunctional economy, the price of oil is just over $83 a barrel. Back in the summer of 2020, during the Trump economic success story, the price of oil bottomed out at just over $12 a barrel. Folks, I’m not making this up. You can fact-check it for yourself if you need to, but if you drive a car or buy just about anything, you know it’s true.

Under President Trump, we purchased oil for $12 a barrel times 50 million barrels =

$600 Million

Under Joe Biden, we purchase oil for $83 a barrel times 50 million barrels =

$4.15 Billion

Millions to Billions: Biden’s 50 Million Barrel SPR release is meaningless from every angle except one, more inflation.

PS – At this point, we have to ask ourselves an increasingly vital question. Is the Biden administration entirely inept, or is it entirely adept … at being un-American?

*If this is your first time, RBDBE is a Random Bus Driver Brain Eruption.

Most of the Time

I have no idea

Most of the time, I have no idea what I’m going to write about until I sit down and write it. But today, I did. Does 52 million barrels ring a bell? Then, I turned on the TV and surprise-surprise, oil was no longer a headline.

The headline for today: there’s a new covid variant (omicron)* out there and Biden is starting the covid protocols all over again, beginning with travel bans. We’re just following the science I’m sure. Except, the scientists have already said travel bans don’t work once the virus is out. And guess what? Biden is more than a day late (more like two weeks) and more than a few common sense short.

Two points:

1 – While travel bans may work in the beginning when a virus or a variant is discovered, Biden’s travel ban is just like all other Biden plans, too little—too late. Unless it involves government spending, then, too little—too late, is an oxymoron.

2 – If we’re going to name variants using the Greek alphabet, then what happened to Xi? Oh, maybe China’s President Xi doesn’t like the coincidental spelling. You know, just like he didn’t like covid being called the Wuhan or Chinese virus.

Covid and its variants are going to be around in perpetuity. Why? Covid is the perfect excuse for government over-reach and excessive regulation. People are afraid of it. Ask yourself a question. Why don’t we have travel bans for Flu outbreaks? The Flu mutates more, it’s just as contagious (if not more), and it kills more.

Let’s face it folks. Until we change this government, Biden will continue on his path of failure because that’s all he’s good at—failing.

Do you remember the Carter Malaise back in the 70’s? That’s our future, and Joe is proudly leading the way with excessive government regulation, taxation, high fuel costs, and inflation. The cure for Jimmy Carter was Ronald W. Reagan. The cure for Joe Biden is Donald J. Trump.

*Omicron was discovered almost two weeks ago.

PS – 52 million barrels are coming to a post near you. But I’m rapidly running out of daylight, and this bus driver needs to drive a lawnmower.

Just a Note to My Followers

I’m doing my best.

I started my day with joy and vigor. Why? It was the anticipation of finally having time to participate in my favorite pastime, writing about current events. I know it’s a weird pastime … but it’s me.

However, there’s a problem. The news cycle happens so fast that, try as I may, it’s simply impossible for me to keep up. I have to work 40 hours a week and by the time I can get to the keyboard, what was news yesterday, is not only old today, it’s forgotten.

Part of the problem lies in the sheer number of screw-ups that Joe Biden is capable of making.

The only thing Biden does well is fail. Interestingly, Biden doesn’t seem to fail at failing.

Hmmm. Sounds like the subject of a future post.

Anyway, my apologies if my posts seem to be playing catch-up with the headlines. Like I said, I’m doing my best.

PS – Today’s post was supposed to be about Biden’s release of SPR oil. I’ll get to it soon. In the meantime, there’s my next post.

The Art of Not Saying (II)

What they want you to think

I just so happened to be looking at an old post I wrote back in October titled The Art of Not Saying when I came across this. Fauci said that the spread of covid wasn’t caused by immigrants. His exact words, “This is not driven by immigrants.”

Again he was referring to the spread of Covid-19, and he was absolutely right. Click on the link above to find out why. Don’t worry. It’s a quick read.

Why am I bringing this up again? I think it’s the same logic being used by the Biden administration when they say the Build Back Better/Hyper-Inflation Bill won’t cost a penny and will actually reduce inflation.

I had two RBDBE’s about this while driving last week, but they turned out to be duds. I never figured out the hook. How are they contorting the words so that it isn’t a lie? They had me stumped. So much so, that I started to worry because maybe, just maybe, there isn’t a hook.

If there isn’t a hook then, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! Could it be true?

What do you think?

Would you believe any of them?

Where’s the Truth?

PS – Alas, while typing this post, I had another RBDBE, and this one didn’t fizzle. The answer is as terrible as it gets for democrats and the facts.

They simply don’t care that they have to lie about their ideology and policies. So they do. Whether it’s the border crisis, Americans left behind in Afghanistan, inflation, Hunter’s ties to the CCP, just lie about it until something else comes along to lie about.

Shoo….. Thank God for RBDBE’s.

PPS – Democrat Senators, are you smart enough to listen? Your Representative Brethren in the House did not.

Thank the Lord

Justice is served and served well

for Kyle Rittenhouse and his family

A big part of that is attributed to the courage of the jurors. Their collective determination not to be intimidated by domestic terrorist groups and liberal media sycophants is the reason our system works. Also, kudos to Circuit Judge Bruce Schroeder for his professionalism. Without him, a fair trial would’ve been impossible.

It’s the subject for a future post but the blatant violation of Kyle Rittenhouse’s civil rights by Kenosha County Assistant District Attorney Thomas Binger,* is just the beginning of what I think should be a long list of actionable lawsuits (Biden is in there too).

But now we have a bigger problem. The true Domestic Terrorists (a.k.a. BLM, Antifa, CNN, MSNBC, and Joy Behar) didn’t get the decision they wanted so now they have to riot. They didn’t just threaten to, they promised.

The problem is out of control and we have to put an end to it now. Kyle Rittenhouse can’t be the only one to stand up for average Joes and Janes. Kyle is the example, not the rule. We—the average, have to pick up the charge and stand for what’s right.

It’s worth every minute, so please watch this video.

Kyle Rittenhouse attorney releases video in self-defense claim (nypost.com)

Why is it that when conservatives protest, it’s a riot? When progressives riot, it’s a protest?

For the left, ends always justify the means. When it comes to breaking the law, destroying businesses, and invading neighborhoods: it’s not wrong … it’s just what the left does. They know that their ideology is flawed, so they need to force it.

It’s Modus Operandi (their standard operating procedure) to go out in the streets and foment chaos while armed with guns, Molotov cocktails, bricks, bottles, and now—skateboards. They have no concern for who they injure or kill because there aren’t any repercussions; no arrest, no charges brought by district attorneys like Tom Binger, no trial, and no jail time.

Did you see it in the video? Gaige Grosskreutz points a loaded gun at Kyle Rittenhouse. Why isn’t he being charged?

Kyle Rittenhouse Alleged Victim’s ‘Only Regret Was Not Killing The Kid,’ ‘Emptying Entire Mag Into Him’ – National File

To sum it up as only a lowly Bus Driver can:

At this time of the year (especially), it’s important to recognize a simple truth. God created the United States of America and gave it to each and every American; a genuine and unique gift that comes with the responsibility to preserve and protect it for all, and for all time. If we lose track of this, God’s gift can be taken away.

*FYI, Thomas Binger is the one who brandished an AR-15 in the courtroom. Then, in an absolute demonstration of pure genius (lack thereof), pointed it at the jury with his finger on the trigger. Did he take his cues from Alec Baldwin?

Transportation, Energy, looming Banking Crisis

Under President Donald J. Trump we didn’t have ships waiting to offload our holiday goods. If we did, Trump’s Transportation Secretary would fix the problem or be fired. Under President Donald J. Trump we didn’t have an energy crisis. If we did, Trump’s Energy Secretary would fix the problem or be fired. And under President Donald J. Trump we would never fear a future banking crisis because President Trump would never nominate a communist to be the new banking regulator.

Could the current president be any more inept? The country is in crisis and Biden’s transportation Secretary is nowhere to be found; Biden’s Energy Secretary thinks it’s funny that gas prices are going through the roof; and Saule Omarova, Joe Biden’s nominee for the Comptroller of the Currency said unequivocally that she wants small businesses to go bankrupt. Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself.

It doesn’t happen often but I’m:

Biden/Carter 2.0

That 70’s Show

A few days ago I was driving my bus by a gas station and the price on the sign caught my eye, $3.31/gallon*. It was one of those local non-affiliated stations with cheap gas and who-knows-what coming out of the pumps. Their price is consistently cheaper by five to ten cents so I was expecting something in the range of $3.21 based on the price at my station the day before. A few moments later things clicked and I had an RBDBE (random bus driver brain eruption).

I said to myself (because no one else was listening), “Damn, it feels like the Jimmy Carter years.”

Then, yesterday morning Maria Bartiromo had Sen. Ted Cruz on to discuss the Biden spending plans and their inflationary impact. I was snapped out of my morning fog when I heard him make the same Biden/Carter analogy. He began by referencing That 70’s Show because of the title, but then he enumerated all the reasons why it feels like Jimmy Carter 2.0.

He started with skyrocketing double-digit annual inflation. Then he continued with, gas lines, a middle-east crisis, middle-east hostages, America surrendering in Afghanistan, and then he made the point that there’s a cause and effect factor. When you push bad policy and spend trillions upon trillions of dollars, you get Jimmy Carter. It all amounts to a weak America, a world in chaos (the way the communists like it), and massive inflation. I’d add to that, massive Stagflation.

For those of you too young to remember the 70’s, massive inflation is supposed to accompany wage and salary increases. But as the inflationary condition metastasizes, wages and salaries stop rising while prices continue to soar. In the end, everything costs more each time you try to buy it, and you never have enough money to pay for it. So you’re forced to do with less, a lot less.

Today, Joe Biden is going to sign the Infras—I mean the Inflation Bill part -1 into law. Stagflation is on the way. It’s the Jimmy Carter 70’s Show all over again. Mark my words.

What’s worse, the Biden administration is doing this with intention. They want you to pay more for everything including gas, heating fuel, and electricity. It’s part of their climate change plan. All this massive spending is intended to expand government control through inflation. If you have less economic power, you’re more dependent on the government and easier to control. The proof is in the pudding. Watch Jen Psaki smile, tell the truth, and then lie about it.

That 70’s Show with Creepy Joe.

*I know there are those who see the $3.31 price for gas and wonder why I’m complaining. They pay $5-$6.  These are primarily people in the Northeast and the entire pacific coast.

Why do I complain? Perspective (I should be paying about $1.75). Why are you paying $5-$6? It’s your own fault. Elections have consequences. You have governors like Cuomo (resigned) and Newsom (recall). My governor is DeSantis.

Vaccine Lawsuit

Let’s Go Brandon ’Suit

While watching Newsmax and trying to engage brain function with my second cup of coffee, I had a RBDBE (random bus driver brain eruption). It was sudden and completely unexpected, as most are, but this happened prior to full-caffeination.

Rob Finnerty (Wake Up America) was interviewing a guest about a lawsuit against the Biden vaccine mandate for businesses. Brandon Trosclair and his attorney Buck Dougherty decided to bring the suit and stand up for the rights of business owners not just locally, but across the nation. Brandon said, “This isn’t an anti-vaccine deal, this is an anti-mandate.” Let’s Go Brandon.

Then Rob Finnerty played a clip from Meet the Press. It featured White House Chief-of-Staff, Ron Klain. He steadfastly dismissed the illegality of the Biden vaccine mandates by literally lying on national TV. He lied about the Supreme Court, he also lied about OSHA’s authority, and he did it with purpose.

The Biden administration knows that the vaccine mandate is illegal, so they developed a workaround using OSHA to enforce a workplace regulation (aka the mandate). This isn’t the RBDBE that I mentioned above, but doesn’t that sound like the same thing the Obama administration did with Obama Care? Do you remember when they changed the fine for not signing up? It went from a penalty to a tax and then Obama used the IRS to enforce it. Ummm.

Ron Klain went on to say, “If OSHA can tell people to wear a hard hat on the job—it can put in place these simple measures (aka mandate the vax) to keep our workers safe.”

Check it out.

White House chief of staff ‘confident’ Biden vaccine mandates will be upheld, in spite of court freeze (nbcnews.com)

Here’s the RBDBE.

OSHA requires hard hats because gravity works and heavy things fall. When something heavy falls on a human head, things break.

I, and most of my fellow Americans, have natural immunities to covid; we do not have natural immunities to falling objects. It’s the truth and common sense aspect of Ron Klain’s analogy that he chooses to ignore. But we shouldn’t be surprised; ignoring the truth is the reason Klain’s entire clip is a lie.

I welcome liberal comment on this. Fair warning, bouncing around the truth just may be the double-edged sword that cuts you down.

Act of Voucher

If the Time Isn’t Right, It’s Near … prepare

I know this is a long post, but it’s a huge subject that can’t be ignored anymore.

The time is here for Americans to see the light. Government-run and union-controlled public education is the key to destruction. It’s taken the left years behind closed doors but now, the doors are open. And what do we see inside? An abomination of what was once considered a good idea.  Free government-funded education for all.

Through the power of the purse, we now have national government control of what states are permitted to teach, e.g., No Child Left Behind, Common Core, Critical Race Theory, and let’s not forget Climate Change. Then, we have school boards mandating face diapers for children who don’t even need to wear groin diapers and vaccine mandates are coming to a school near you if it hasn’t already arrived. All this is ostensibly for the Public Good and funded by your tax dollars.

When the National School Boards Association (NSBA) calls for POTUS to engage the FBI and start investigating parents as domestic terrorists because they participated in a meeting, well, the line has been crossed. For many of these parents, it’s the first school board meeting they ever went to and they were appalled at what they heard.

School boards across the nation are used to no parent oversight at these meetings which allows them to do as they please. All of a sudden, here are more than just a few angry parents demanding answers, and the incompetent communists that enjoyed unfettered power were simply overwhelmed.

These are the same people who as students years ago, didn’t defend themselves when bullied, they cried about it to the teacher (read more about this subject in my post titled Freedom is Being Bullied https). This is why the NSBA cries about the terrible parents defending their children. And who better to cry to than POTUS, the grand teacher of them all.

Parents pushed back against the established order and the powers that be crumbled because they didn’t know how to cope with just a smidgeon of pressure. These parents did nothing wrong, and everything right. They expressed their disagreement with mandates and government propaganda disguised as curricula. And for that, they were classified as domestic terrorists.

When confronted with the opposing views of concerned parents and under the pressure of free and clear thought, the NSBA and its members did the only thing they knew how to do well, they panicked and call the authorities (as all good communists are programmed to do).

For god sake, one man was there not to defend his daughter; she had already been attacked in the girl’s bathroom by a boy wearing a dress. The father was there to defend others. The attacker, a boy with approved access to the girl’s restroom, was found guilty of forcible sodomy (which is rape), and rather than address the issue immediately, the school board decided to transfer the rapist to another school. And how did he respond? He attacked again. We have to choose between free education and free thought, communism and capitalism.

FYI, I refuse to soften the blow of communism by referencing socialism as a steppingstone. Socialism is simply pubescent communism and we don’t have time to let it grow any more than it has.

I fear we are no longer at the precipice. Gravity has taken hold, and we are falling in.

The teacher’s unions and school boards are too powerful and they don’t fear reprisal because they function as the local arm of the national propaganda machine. Does this look like America….or Russia?

There are only two viable answers to this problem and one is school vouchers (you can read more about this subject in my book PNTP,* chapter 10). The government will never relinquish the taxing authority it has to fund public education. That ship has sailed. But we can still control the way this money is spent by giving the parents of school-age children the ability to choose which school their child attends; and which schools receive the most funding. The concept interjects a level of competition to a fully owned and operated government corporation (public schools). My sense is that this is the one thing they (school boards) fear most.

The other alternative is to remove children from the public school system. Private schools and homeschooling are real options. Parents need to put their creative and collective minds to work; the cost of private schools and the difficulties of homeschooling are not barriers, they’re challenges. One thing is for sure. If there are no children to teach, public schools have no one to indoctrinate.

I want to end on a positive note. Congratulations to Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin of Virginia. If there’s any good to come out of these covid lockdowns, it’s that parents have opened their eyes to the abject idiots they’ve entrusted to educate their children and Yougnkin’s win is a great start. My only fear is based on the fact that I never underestimate the Republican Party’s ability to snatch defeat from victory. Only time will tell. 2022 is near.

*PS – For those who don’t already know, PNTP stands for Positives & Negatives, Tricycles & Pancakes.

Biden’s Plan B, $1.7 Trillion

Infrastructure Bill

Today, I listened to Joe (LGB) Biden crow about his success with the house vote on his infrastructure bill. And in all fairness, because I believe in giving credit where credit is due, he sounded presidential for the entire—first half of the speech. That should not be taken as a statement of support. I’m simply providing a measure of quality concerning the speech itself. As for content, The White House production was a blatant lie. According to Joe, the bill won’t raise our taxes, cost us a penny, or cause inflation.  At this point, the speech rapidly deteriorated into what you’d expect, non-presidential babble about Trump, covid, and disjointed answers to staged questions.

Before writing this post I decided that I’d try to do a little fact-checking on the internet. I seem to remember that when President Trump conducted an interview or televised speech, the fact-checkers had the results posted within minutes, if not seconds. I figured the same would be true of LGB Biden. But that isn’t the case. Even with all the misleading innuendo and carefully chosen phrases, I knew Biden lied. Still, I couldn’t find any immediate fact-checking to corroborate or contradict the BS he was shoveling. HEY …

Random Bus Driver Brain Eruption (RBDBE):

I just noticed something awfully coincidental; LGB (let’s go Brandon) looks a lot like LGBT (lesbian, gay, bi, transgender) at a glance, and if you’re not careful, it reads the same way. Ummmmm……coincidence, irony, programming?

Anyway, back to the subject driving this post. When I did my fact-checking search, I was directed to The White House Live website. There, the speech was posted in its entirety. I noticed something right from the start that didn’t make sense to me. The video is one-hour, thirty minutes, and ten seconds long. I had just finished watching the speech live and it didn’t seem to last more than thirty minutes. I really didn’t want to hear Biden lie again, but curiosity got the best of me, so I clicked play.

Well, it turns out that the first forty-three minutes of Joe’s address is a blue screen with a note saying We Will Begin Shortly. The actual speech lasted about thirty-two minutes which is close enough for government work not to conflict with my original estimate. Followed by another fifteen minutes of blue screen thanking me for joining Biden as he spoke about the passage of the bipartisan infrastructure bill.

My takeaway?

Out of more than ninety minutes of speech time, one full hour was blue-screen. A blessing in disguise—because it means less lies…….Did I just do that? Yes, I did.

But I also think there’s a more important message. After forty-five minutes of preparation, Joe Biden can only last about thirty minutes in front of a camera. It’s a sad state of affairs that the left created and Joe is the living proof. Imagine if you gave President Trump an hour-and-a-half to speak.

We don’t just want President Donald J. Trump in 2024, we need him.

Now, this is what I call a congressional Posse for 2022 (or 2024).

Conservative futures.
